Archimages was commissioned to update and increase the size of the University City Fire House #2. The existing house, originally built in the 1930's, needed updating to meet current demands of increased equipment sizes and diversification in the work force. The City requested that the design be LEED certified. Vibro Stone Piers, were used to keep soil remediation to a minimum. The newly completed station added one apparatus bay, completely renovated the existing building so the department had new bunk rooms, exercise room, training room, day room, medical storage, captain's office, kitchen and outside storage.
